IGHA - Horse Aid	The International Generic Horse Association supports horse rescue, horse aid, and fights horse slaughter, all issues and needs that Ali Zán experienced.
British Show Jumping Association	An action packed site for the equestrian jumping aficionado, but for me, a little painful - I never lasted more than half of a jump.
Ecuestre.Net	A major internet portal to all things equestrian in the Spanish speaking world, including little-heard-of horse events in the Americas. Use http://www.ecuestre.net to insure your link.

Terry Eagleton	Literary theorist and critic; humorous, insightful, controversial. I'm surprised he ever made tenure. If I had voiced some of his opinions, I'd be keeping company right now with the mosquito spray truck driver down in Bohemia, Louisiana.
The New Criterion	Gives voice to literary theorists and critics who study the heads of serpents in the bottom of their draughts of tequila before they begin their analyses of their contemporaries.
Postmodern Thought	University of Colorado at Denver, known for knowing literary stuff although it remains questionable that they ever have known much else; stimulating, in any case, if one can loosen up and jump into the vacuum with them.
The Complete Review	Oooh! The hooty-tooties control this one. They call it the Literary Saloon. But I might tend to call it the Literary Salon. No matter: hooty-tooties and hoity-toities abound, and these guys and gals are smart. So if you want to test your literary wherewithal, go there. But you can be assured that they will never mention any of my books in any of their reviews.

Julian Jaynes	The Origin Of Consciousness In the Breakdown Of the Bicameral Mind is a must read for anyone who also believes that Planet Earth once hosted visitors from Sirius. I do. I'll bet Julian Jaynes did, too.
Michael Gazzaniga	Now here's something out of a horror show: Our minds have taken us over. Even the no-brainers are operating. After all this time, someone explains to us that we may be out of control.
Stephen Wolfram	This man is for fractals what Carl Jung was for mandalas. If you understand this, you still should not expect to understand his revolutionary work entitled A New Kind Of Science. The way he describes it, only he understands it right now anyway.
The Journal of Social And Evolutionary Systems	The *JSES* seems to be of interest to serious chroniclers of human change who do not find much reward in rehashing last Sunday's sermon. Though discontinued (oh, so sadly!), the findings can still be found, thanks to Science Direct. You'll need to add science/journal/10617361 when you reach the site--don't ask me why. But if you have ever read a the owner's manual for a KitchenAid juice blender, then you should find this site a fulfilling experience.

Sylvia Engdhal	Meet a user friendly Ron Hubbard who doesn't plan to get a worshiper of his to bill her for counseling. This female author knows how to have fun with the written word and the scholarship sometimes associated with it. She fictionalizes on the one hand, and consolidates emergent concepts related to the metanormal on the other . If she hasn't been there, she's certain that she will be going there.
Stephen Levine	He's a little too touchie, feelie for me and uses words like zen, mantra and circling light. But sometimes I like to practice being mindful. I can't do it for long periods, but before I read Levine, I didn't know I could do it at all.
The Utne Reader	I am against the use of drugs for non-medicinal purposes, but I would guess that the combined hallucinatory years of this magazine's staff totals around 300. No problem. They apparently are all in treatment now and use their brains to edit for the human race some of the most pragmatic new-thought products of this new century; and not too far-out either, although I don't read well and just skip around.
The Hindu Website	Alright. Be calm. After all, I'm a Catholic, turned Lutheran, turned Baptist, turned Evangelical. I went from chanting I am a sinner, Lord to whooping I've been freed from sin at last, praise Jesus - all in one lifetime. So give this site a chance just for the hell of it. If not you and us, maybe the other 4.5 billion souls on Planet Earth will gain a little enlightenment from it.
Psychic Support	I tried this a couple of times and it didn't hurt either time. As a matter of fact, it started me thinking about some things in my life that I had never thought much about. Later, I don't know if I did it or Somebody Else did it, but some of those things I came to think about changed; and looking back, I do believe it was for the better. All of this because I let a pretty young woman with sweet chewing gum breath fondle my hand while she whispered to me in a darkened room. Familiarize yourself with the process through the psychic here; then find your own.

Third Age	This somewhat wacky website remains mainstream enough to be fun for all - especially uplifting, I imagine, for those who view emotional abandonment from the plus-forty perspective. A happy place that wants to be of help.
I Survive	For "abuse survivors learning to thrive" this website provides participation in discussion boards, chatrooms and life stories in a safe, virtual environment where participants learn they are not alone with their problems and that sharing with others can lead to self-renewal.
Adult Survivors of Child Abuse	A great resource page with practical sources to see, places to go for people who want help with their ongoing recovery process from childhood abuse.
Metapsychology Online Book Reviews	Though a little on the heavy side with its review language, this site hammers out concise reviews of books about, or related to, survivors of child abuse. A must read for anyone who wants to understand personal change or help others change. Chock full of change brainpower.
The DepressioNet Team	Much depression is found with those who have experienced psychological, emotional or physical abuse. This Australian site is notable in that it is created by people from varied backgrounds who have had personal experience with depression and who are online 24/7 to provide sufferers with support and companionship.
Lichtenstein Creative Media	This team of writers and producers are behind the productions of The Infinite Mind seen and heard through the Public Broadcasting System. With rich and evocative presentations, they approach widespread mental health issues with streetwise gusto and ruthlessness.
Faber & Mazlish	Two educators in the field of child abuse who have generated an impressive array of books and training ops for parents in abuse avoidance or for educators or caregivers in how to guide the abused toward self acceptance and success.
Kids Are Worth It	Barbara Coloroso is a writer and speaker in the field of child abuse avoidance, prevention and identification who has published a number of readable books on the subject of child abuse for parent and caregiver alike.
Turn Off The Violence	Sheila Miller says violence is a learned behavior and it can be unlearned. Her website challenges the educator, and you, to join a coalition to end the violence that leads to abused children. She intends a nationwide grassroots movement. Let's help her.
The Safe Child Program	A common sense approach to protecting children and teaching children to protect themselves, this program by Sherryll Kraizer is set forth in an excellently written handbook for both parent and social service professional.
Understanding the Human Volcano	This is one of a number of highly readable books for teens, their parents and their educators about family violence, child abuse, bullying and how to recognize and overcome such conditions in the life of adolescents.
Prevention Information Center of Colorado	This website weighs in with a hearty, "Honey, I'm home," as it settles onto my links page. Thank you, Colorado! I wish I could find a link like you in every State or Province. It is great to encounter a mall full of information by which to improve the fates of children abused or emotionally abandoned. If you want to review additional topics that contribute to dysfunctional adults and their families, you may find them there, too. It's a shame that the site's webmaster is not as good as the site's content. I can only get through on certain phases of the moon. So I have linked you via a circuitous route, but, at least, it is a link.
